Product Description

Ken, the Fist of the North Star, is the chosen heir of this ancient martial arts technique, a school of fighting in which touching psychic pressure points can kill someone between five minutes and two days later. His world is a bleak one, devastated by a global nuclear war. Some survivors are struggling to rebuild their lives and create an orderly, peaceable society out of the chaos. Some are revelling in the anarchy of a ruined civilization and using their own strength to exploit the weak and helpless. Ken must fight, not only bands of marauders, but former friends and even his own brother Raoh as he tries to help those who cannot help themselves.

Overall : As many have said, this is one of those classics that you 'have to see.' The plot is fairly interesting as it does involve a post-apocalyptic society and its renegade savior. Perhaps the most memorable line is 'You are already dead.' A must-see for all anime fans.

Overall : Fist of the North Star the Movie was the first anime DVD I ever rented from a video rental store. Of course the video rental place didn't have very much to choose from. It's a so so anime. I had a hard time really paying attention to it.

Overall : The only connection between Hokuto and the American world. This movie was completely hardcore action, loved every second of it. Also, as a fan of Hokuto No Ken, this is a must watch.

Overall : This is an alternate telling of the Hokuto no Ken story than the TV series. So if you like that series, and all the exploding/crunching/splatter bits, then you'll probably enjoy this as well. SUBS: Easy to read, for the most part the names are correct. There's even de ... Read More

Overall : hokuto no ken is a beautifully animated movie for it's time. it's not akira, but it's pretty detailed in the movements. there aren't any 'still frame combat' scenes or 're-used animation' that the series is known for. but unfortunately, the subtitles are absolutely horri ... Read More
