About this series

In the year 2029, the barriers of our world have been broken down by the net and by cybernetics, but this brings new vulnerability to humans in the form of brain-hacking. When a highly-wanted hacker known as 'The Puppetmaster' begins involving them in politics, Section 9, a group of cybernetically enhanced cops, are called in to investigate and stop the Puppetmaster. The pursuit will call into question what makes a human and what is the Puppetmaster in a world where the distinction between human and machine is increasingly blurry.

Product Description

Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence takes place in the year 2032. Humans are becoming increasingly mechanized, and now coexist with cyborgs and robots. A cyborg named Batou is a detective for Public Security Section 9, he's assigned to investigate a series of homicide-suicide cases involving androids. He's a cyborg and his body is almost entirely artificial, all that is left are traces of his brain and the memories of a woman named Motoko. She's gone through the cracks into the matrix, but she's alive somewhere in the vast eletronic network.

Innocence is life, the story of a lonesome man who deperately wants to remain human.
